Mentorship
Volunteer mentors are an extremely valuable asset to Circle Program. More importantly, they touch the lives of young people who need them. With the guidance and compassion of a mentor, Circle girls and teens are able to achieve their dreams and reach new levels of success and personal empowerment.
Each girl in the Circle Program is paired with a dedicated mentor—either one-on-one or in a small group setting. Mentors serve as positive role models and provide additional support, encouragement, and stability in the lives of our girls. Through consistent connection and meaningful relationships, mentors help foster confidence, resilience, and personal growth.
To become a volunteer mentor with Circle Program, individuals must meet several key requirements. Mentors must be at least 21 years old and successfully complete a screening process, which includes a clean background and driving record check. They must have access to a vehicle, hold a valid driver’s license, and carry current auto insurance.
Mentors are expected to commit to regular meetings with their mentees—twice monthly for girls and once monthly for teens—and agree to a minimum one-year commitment. They must follow all Circle Program policies and procedures, obtain parental or guardian permission for all outings, and maintain consistent communication with program staff. Additionally, mentors are required to submit monthly contact logs to help track engagement and support.
