Our new 72-hour annual giving campaign “One Girl, One Day” was a huge success! We created this campaign to fall on October 11, The International Day of the Girl Child. We couldn’t think of a better day to celebrate our 80 plus girls and raise money for them to attend a portion of our 7-week residential camp. With our girls coming from 33 different towns in NH we were certainly blessed with a wide variety of sponsors that showed their support. Over the three-day campaign we had a goal set in mind of $25,000 and we blew it out of the water by raising over $40,000. The dinner cruise held on the M/S Mount Washington to launch the campaign was a great way to set sail. Our generous supporters showed up to help, we had sponsors on board, mentors, board members, circle staff, friends and most importantly we had Circle Girls giving back to the program that gives so much to them. It was great to see our girls in action by selling raffle tickets, handing out prizes, and also getting to introduce themselves and mingle, while a few of them shared some of their personal stories. The live auction held by Alex Ray of the Common Man was a lot of fun and exceeded our expectations. Dr. Dan O’Neill helped us raise even more money with a reverse auction by funding a girl for a day, a week or a session. We are still shocked by how many people stepped up to support our girls. It certainly takes a tribe to run an organization like Circle Program and we are blessed with a very supportive group of people. The donations continue to roll in on-line and we are filled with gratitude! Thank you to all who participated in this campaign, every little bit makes a difference.
