Do you ever look around your community and wonder about who is making a difference? In Plymouth, Off the Hanger, LLC certainly is. Off the Hanger is a wonderful resource, buying from and selling gently used clothing to the ladies of the region.
From the Off The Hanger, LLC website, “If you're inclined to give to a great cause, store credit can also be donated to one of five non-profits that Off the Hanger, LLC holds accounts for - The Circle Program, Pemi Youth Center, Voices Against Violence, The Bridge House, and a local elementary school.”
Many of our Circle Mentors (and friends of the Circle Program) know about this, and when they go to Off The Hanger, they donate their store credit to the Circle Program. When a Circle Girl goes into Off The Hanger, they can spend up to $30 of that store credit on new clothes.
Last week, one of our mentors took her girl shopping at Off The Hanger. This is the email Jane sent to us: Thanks to Off The Hanger, C. found FOUR things: two sweatshirts, a sweater, and a beautiful lacy shirt. I don't even like clothes shopping, but it's fun to go with C. because everything looks great on her. At the sale prices they had going last week she was only able to spend $22, even though they told her she could spend up to $30. She had a great time shopping and the salesperson (whose name I should know but I forget...) was very charming and made C. feel like a VIP. :-) Jane
To Off the Hanger: Thank you so much for caring about our girls and helping show them that they are valued, deserving of respect, and worthy of VIP treatment. It means the world to us (and them) that you do this.
