A Circle Teen's Dad:
I am so proud of my daughter who is blossoming into a young adult . She has become a role model for her younger sister, as well as a caring and ambitious young lady.
I give a great amount of credit to the Circle Program for its positive influence on her life.....
My opinion is that as long as there are little girls, there should be a Circle Program!
After their first two years in the program, girls are encouraged to continue on and become Circle teens. Circle teens entering grades 7, 8, and 9 attend a two week camp session where the camp programs and curriculum are geared toward their changing interests and needs. The mentoring program continues after camp, as do organized group gatherings and community service endeavors.
Circle teens entering grades 10, 11 and 12 attend our TAP (Teen Adventure Program) camp session. During TAP, our teens spend their first two days at camp preparing for a 3-night/4-day offsite wilderness camping adventure with our experienced staff. In addition, juniors and seniors in high school may be eligible to join our LIT (Leaders-in-Training) Program which is held during the first 3-week camp session. During the school year, mentoring continues in small groups and programming is enhanced with job shadowing opportunities, visits to secondary schools, colleges and life-skill workshops. We strive to keep girls connected to our program through their senior year of high school.
